Kaare Klint is perhaps the most important figure in Danish design, often heralded as the father of Scandinavian modernism. Kaare is known for his architectural forms and the use of superb materials. This sofa, monumental and elegant in its design, is an iconic Danish piece and a rarity in its original leather treatment.

condition Leather with an attractive patina and mottled appearance varying from lighter to darker in areas as seen in the photography. Small closed tear to backside of one leather panel. Scuffs and abrasions to leather in keeping with age and use. Wooden legs also showing points of contact and abrasions from use over time. In all, a very nice example of this form in fine vintage condition. Leather appears to be original.
